Mill Grinding Room Operator

High production custom millwork facility is looking for an operator to work in the tool room in South Windsor, CT!

Schedule:

Monday- Friday 7AM-3:30PM some Saturdays required.
Overtime
Weekends as needed

Responsibilities:

Knife Grinding Machine set up
Tool set up
Profile Knife Grinding/ Sharpening
Maintaining Customer Tooling Inventory
Training on TurboCAD Drawing program

Desired Background/Skills:

Wood working: 1 year (Preferred)
Lumberyard experience
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to speak, understand and communicate safely, work related instructions
Ability to read work orders, tape measures, calipers and prints
Ability to follow safety procedures when lifting, bending and twisting.
*KNOWLEDGE OF HARDWOOD LUMBER AND WOODWORKING EXPERIENCE A MUST
