Maintenance Technician

CoWorx Staffing Services is hiring Maintenance Technicians in the Bethel, CT area!

Responsibilities:

Install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment.
Perform mechanical duties including, but not limited to: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during operations and conduct scheduled maintenance during machine downtime.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair automated systems and related equipment.
Execute all Preventive Maintenance tasks using work instructions, equipment manuals, and self-developed procedures.
Fabricate or modify equipment using blueprints, schematics, or verbal instructions from technical staff.
Operate various hand and power tools, test instruments, and material-handling equipment.
Perform light machining and cutting using power tools.
Complete area-specific installations such as ducting, minor air lines, and plumbing fixtures.
Apply analytical skills for diagnostics and repairs.
Work from blueprints and electrical/pneumatic schematics; create drawings and sketches for component fabrication.
Comply with all safety regulations and maintain clean, orderly work areas.

Desired Background/Skills:

High school diploma and 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and industrial maintenance; some PLC and HVAC experience preferred.
Basic computer skills required.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
English proficiency is required for this role (speaking, reading, and writing).
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedures and safety manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions.
